There are many versions of Chaas or Lassi such as Masala Chaas, Spiced Buttermilk, Coriander Chaas, Mango Lassi and  Cardamon lassi. All the flavours are so delicious and they all pair with Indian Cuisine well.
This Spiced Buttermilk  is made with Coriander, ginger and freshly ground cumin.

There are many versions of similar  drinks like Chaas served in different countries. The preparations and ingredients are similarly prepared such as in this Ayran, a Turkish drink served in Turkish Cuisine.

  1. My in-laws eat a similar salted yoghurt drink in North Cyprus which is the Turkish side. I don't think it has the spices though. They would really improve the flavour.

  4. I may have to give this a try. I like all of those flavors as an accompaniment to Indian food, but I'm not sure how I would feel about drinking them. Thanks for linking up at Pin It Tuesday.

  6. I've never had Lassi. It would go well with a curry as yogurt does in general.

  8. This looks great, it's definitely different to my usual summery drink. I think the juice of the lemon would give it the kick it needs to take away from the milkyness of it. xx
